Work With Us
We work with comedy writer/performers who are currently working in, or are looking to return to, live performance.
From new voices to established acts, we support acts that want to bring their next big idea - however bold, daring or seemingly impossible - to life.
Why we’re different...
Our team has produced 41 hour-long shows, with a proven track record of supporting acts in creating fulfilling, challenging and personal projects that push their careers to the next level.
Our approach is holistic and based in creative collaboration, pulling together talented teams - from directors to flyerers - to ensure our acts feel supported and able to make their best work.
Our perspective is long-term, as we guide our acts through developing projects that exceed their expectations and are ready to be translated into radio and TV.
We champion a range of voices with different life experiences and points of view. If you feel like you have an idea that you’re itching to explore, get in touch. You can invite us to see you perform, or send us a video.
We are currently hiring for the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe. More details on the following three roles will be available shortly.
Street Team - Applications close 6pm on May 14th
The lifeblood of our Fringe, the Street Team spread the word about Berk's Nest shows by flyering for them. We value the people we work with, treat them well and pay them fairly, and make sure everyone has a brilliant time - a number of our team from last year's Fringe are returning this year and one flyerer has been working with us for the last three years.
Pay: £9/hour, paid weekly in arrears
Dates: August 1st - August 26th (with kick-off drinks evening of July 31st), with one guaranteed day off during the month.
Hours: Flexible - we guarantee a minimum of 4 hrs/day and a maximum of 8 hrs/day.
Benefits: Venue passes for Pleasance & Underbelly, tickets to shows, merchandise & anything else we can get our hands on.
Please note that we unfortunately cannot provide accommodation for the duration of the Fringe, but will do our very best to help you find somewhere if needed.

Street Team Manager - Applications now closed. Applicants will be contacted shortly.
Our STM works with our Producers to deliver audiences for shows. Training and resources will be provided by our previous Street Team Manager. Ideally you'd have some experience managing a team or flyering for comedy shows at the Fringe.
Assistant Producer - Applications now closed. Applicants will be contacted shortly.
Our Assistant Producer supports the Edinburgh production team and all of the shows we take up. They're an essential part of the team, and could find themselves doing anything from rebuilding a set to sorting out tickets for press - it's an ever-changing job where no two days will be the same. No specific experience required, but we look for people who love comedy and who are ambitious about what they want to do - last year's Assistant Producer is now producing shows as part of the Edinburgh team.
